What you'll do
- Own development on a Strike Team, including REST APIs, frontend wiring, feature logic, and integration with AI components for one high-complexity or strategic AI productization project at a time.
- Make day-to-day implementation calls, contribute to design reviews, and make sound trade-off decisions on your features.
- Escalate cross-cutting concerns to the Engineering Manager.
- Partner with the AI Engineer to bring LLM-based components into production paths using prompt invocation, response handling, fallbacks, and observability on AWS Bedrock.
- Shape how AI components are integrated and collaborate on product design decisions.
- Bring the AI Architect into deeper algorithmic calls.
- Build on the team's shared CI/CD, vector DB, auth, QA, and UI/UX foundations.
- Push back to the horizontal layer when something is missing or wrong.
- Set a high bar for code review, testing, and engineering hygiene through your own work.
- Mentor the Consultant Product Engineer and AI pairing partners.
- Leverage Claude Code and Copilot to accelerate delivery while maintaining a high quality bar.

- Experience with coding assistants, including Claude Code and Copilot.
- Experience taking LLM or RAG features to production and keeping them running, including streaming, fallbacks, cost controls, and observability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, RDS, and Bedrock.
- Awareness of the timeout, concurrency, and cost limits that affect LLM workloads.
- A track record of shipping production features end-to-end.
- Strong CI/CD, Git workflow, automated testing, and observability habits.
- Ability to partner with AI specialists on modeling and data-science work, contribute to integration design, and know when to bring in the AI Architect.
