Senior ASSOCIATE QA ENGINEER SOFTWARE

Overview

Debug software products through systematic testing to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. The role supports software quality, testing, defect resolution and release compliance for gaming products.

What you'll do

• Debug software products through systematic tests.
• Develop, modify and execute software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
• Analyze and write test standards and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
• Consult with development engineers to resolve problems.
• Provide feedback for technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software.
• Ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing.
• Prepare test scenarios and write clear, concise and comprehensive test cases.
• Execute test cases, report defects and track defects.
• Reproduce issues reported from the field.
• Set up and maintain test environments.
• Provide updates to the Content QA Manager on testing progress.
• Participate in exploratory gameplay sessions, identify test scenarios and write new test cases when required.
• Ensure software releases conform to defined game standards and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need

• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience preparing test scenarios and writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases.
• Experience with black-box, ad-hoc, smoke, sanity, regression, integration and system testing.
• Good communication skills.
• Attitude of learning, listening and accepting challenges.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA and qTest.

Nice to have

• ISTQB certification would be an advantage.
