Senior Automation Engineer - XVA Technology

Overview

Lead technical and business testing team members and shape product quality and delivery for core investment banking testing projects, with an emphasis on automation and Generative AI.

What you'll do

• Lead technical and business testing team members in preparing for and executing test initiatives supporting core investment banking testing projects.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews with Product, Business Analysts and Development teams to assure that products meet requirements and are tested efficiently.
• Perform requirements reviews and traceability analyses to assess test coverage.
• Oversee test execution initiatives while adhering to test schedules and key milestones.
• Evaluate and escalate potential risks and issues that may adversely affect quality, schedule or budget.
• Perform test execution and provide clear and concise test progress reporting for key stakeholders and executive review.
• Monitor QA activities, test results, defects and root cause analysis, and identify areas needing improvement.
• Recommend and lead continuous improvement initiatives to mature the QA test program, improve team effectiveness and improve the overall quality of products and services.
• Drive testing strategy and connect analytics with business decisions.
• Work late on a need basis to interact with teams in other geographies.

What you'll need

• 8-12 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Service industry.
• Experience in Agile, BDD and Dev Ops testing methodologies.
• Strong experience in API testing using various tools.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Working experience with Mongo DB and API testing.
• Strong UNIX, Shell, Perl and Python scripting experience.
• Good hands-on experience in Java and Selenium tools based on BDD/TestNG frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work against tight deadlines.
• Good business acumen and the ability to connect analytics with business decisions.
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience driving testing strategy.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with automation testing frameworks and tools.
• Experience with Generative AI concepts and their application in product development or quality assurance.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as Copilot.
• Proficiency in modern testing frameworks and tools like Playwright, Selenium and JUnit.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an ability to adjust priorities quickly.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
