Senior Automaton Engineer - Hand on

Overview

Manage IT Quality teams and initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), application testing strategies and product rollout into production. The role leads software quality assurance activities, process improvement and delivery across multiple development streams.

What you'll do

• Perform initiatives related to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production.
• Design and implement appropriate scripts and plans for application testing strategies and approaches with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users.
• Perform software quality assurance testing.
• Manage multiple IT Quality teams or an IT Quality functional area.
• Resolve complex and highly variable issues.
• Analyze organizational trends and industry trends to improve processes.
• Develop and design standards and procedures and ensure adherence throughout the software development life cycle.
• Manage organizational process change.
• Develop and implement methods for cost, effort and milestones of IT Quality activities.
• Improve and streamline processes and ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
• Evaluate subordinates' performance and make decisions on pay increases, promotions and terminations.
• Manage budgeting, project estimates, task management and prioritization across multiple development streams.
• Manage, mentor and support the career development process for the Shanghai team, including performance reviews, training and recruiting.
• Collaborate with QA, production support, environment management, DBA and other local and global stakeholder teams to ensure project stability and productivity.
• Handle day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team or project.
• Assess risk in business decisions, drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage and report control issues transparently.
• Supervise the activity of others and create accountability for required standards.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

What you'll need

• 6-10 years of IT Testing experience.
• Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and testing tools.
• Knowledge of any well-known software development and testing life-cycle methodology.
• Communication and diplomacy skills.
• Ability to persuade and influence.
• Bachelor’s/University degree.
• Key skillset: Devin, AI Tools, Agentic AI Testing, AI Agents for Evaluation, Data Engineering and Testing.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
