Senior Controls Automation Engineer

Overview

Senior Controls & Automation Engineer responsible for developing, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting PLC/HMI control systems for Hydraulic Power Units and CAFS/INERT Fire Suppression Systems.

What you'll do

• Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC software.
• Configure and support HMI/SCADA applications.
• Execute and support Pre-FAT, FAT, iFAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Implement and verify cause-and-effect matrices, interlocks, alarms, shutdowns and control sequences.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, I/O, instrumentation and communication issues.
• Support controlled software updates, testing and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers and client representatives.

What you'll need

• Degree in Electrical, Automation, Control or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on PLC programming experience.
• Strong Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000 experience.
• HMI development experience with WinCC, WinCC Unified, FactoryTalk or equivalent.
• Experience delivering FAT, iFAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet/IP.
• Experience implementing control philosophies, cause-and-effect requirements, interlocks and permissives.

Nice to have

• Oil & Gas, Marine or Offshore project experience.
• Fire Suppression Systems, HPU packages or safety-related control systems experience.
• Functional Safety awareness of IEC 61508 or IEC 61511.
• OT Cyber Security awareness of IEC 62443.
• Rockwell Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk experience.

• Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India.
• Travel within the UK, Turkey and Vietnam is required.
