Senior Automation QA Engineer

Overview

Senior Automation QA Engineer responsible for software testing, automation framework design, QA strategy, test planning and quality delivery in collaboration with development, product and DevOps teams.

What you'll do

• Define and drive QA strategy, test plans and automation standards.
• Review test cases, scripts and defect reports.
• Track automation coverage and quality metrics.
• Debug and troubleshoot manual and automated testing issues.
• Perform defect root-cause analysis.
• Debug CI/CD pipeline failures.
• Collaborate with Dev, Product and DevOps for seamless delivery.

What you'll need

• 5-7 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong expertise in UI and API automation testing using Selenium or Playwright with Java.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and automation framework design principles.
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in Git, Jira and qTest or equivalent tools.
• Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Java and object-oriented software design principles.
• Experience with TDD, BDD, Gherkin and Cucumber.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across manual and automated testing.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and the Maven build lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins and Docker.
• Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Maven and the build lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright.
• A scripting language such as Bash or Python.
• Performance or monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Gatling or JMeter.
