Software Development Engineer in Test II

Overview

Build and maintain automated testing capabilities for Kaseya’s endpoint management platform. The role focuses on validating endpoint agents, device management workflows, operating system integrations, and system-level software.

What you'll do

• Design automation frameworks for endpoint agent validation.
• Build tests for installation, upgrades, rollback, policies, monitoring, patching, and remote actions.
• Create reusable test libraries for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.
• Develop functional, integration, regression, performance, resiliency, and system-level tests.
• Troubleshoot defects using logs, debugging, telemetry, and endpoint diagnostics.
• Partner with Support and Engineering on root-cause analysis.
• Apply AI tools to test generation, code analysis, debugging, and coverage expansion.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA Automation experience.
• Programming skills in Java, Kotlin, C#, or similar languages.
• Experience building automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of at least one of Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• Understanding of operating system internals, networking, security models, and privilege management.
• Experience testing endpoint agents, system software, security software, or device management products.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and automated device provisioning.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, or Linux device management.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and operating system scripting technologies.
