Senior Backend Engineer, Cashalo

Overview

Senior Backend Engineer responsible for building and scaling Cashalo’s backend technology for lending products. This is a high-ownership individual contributor role focused on product features, platform reliability, and technical initiatives across .NET and Azure.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET and C#.
• Own features from requirements through deployment.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders.
• Improve platform reliability and observability on Azure.
• Contribute to deployment practices.
• Support code reviews and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience building production-grade backend systems with .NET and C#.
• Strong experience with SQL Server.
• Experience with relational data modelling.
• Experience with query optimisation and schema management.
• Experience building on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong REST API design and consumption fundamentals.
• Ability to work autonomously in a lean, fast-moving team.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or lending.
