Senior Backend Engineer - NodeJS

Overview

Senior Backend Engineer focused on designing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Fastify, and Python.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Fastify.
• Write clean, efficient, scalable code in JavaScript and Python.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to build and deliver backend capabilities.
• Implement automated tests to ensure code quality.
• Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging systems.
• Contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

What you'll need

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (Node.js, Fastify), and Python.
• Experience building APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of REST, HTTP, and WebSockets.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
• Monitoring tools experience (Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack).
