Senior Cloud HPC Engineer - Assistant Vice President

Overview

Senior Cloud HPC Engineer (Assistant Vice President) to lead development and operation of a global cloud pricing grid for financial risk.

What you'll do

• Architect, build, and manage a massive-scale distributed compute grid on AWS and GCP for pricing models.
• Design the orchestration layer to distribute millions of pricing tasks across large CPU/GPU core counts.
• Deploy, manage, and version control a library of quantitative pricing models for distributed execution.
• Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and resource utilization of the cloud grid.
• Collaborate with quantitative development teams to integrate new/updated pricing models into production.
• Engineer data logistics so market data, trade data, and model configurations are available at runtime.
• Ensure the pricing engine is highly available, resilient, and meets recovery time objectives.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of professional experience designing, building, and running massive-scale compute grids.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, including batch processing, containers, and serverless offerings.
• Deep expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python (or similar HPC languages).
• Strong background in distributed systems, performance tuning, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues in high-pressure environments.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
