Senior Data Analyst – Data Management

Overview

Senior Analyst in Enterprise Data & Analytics supporting enterprise master data operations, data quality monitoring, investigations, stewardship support and operational reporting, with mentoring responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Support customer and organization master data maintenance activities and remediation requests.
• Analyze and validate data changes submitted through stewardship and operational requests/tickets.
• Monitor operational queues and assist in meeting SLA commitments.
• Perform production remediation/validation and data verification following releases and deployments.
• Support Stewards with merge, unmerge, hierarchy management, survivorship, and data correction activities.
• Assist Data Stewards with data investigations and issue resolution.
• Monitor Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and Data Quality KPI dashboards.
• Perform data profiling, reconciliations, and completeness assessments.
• Investigate duplicate records, matching exceptions, and master data anomalies.
• Identify, document, and track data quality issues through remediation.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring data quality defects.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to resolve data inconsistencies.
• Create and maintain stewardship, operational, and data quality reports.
• Analyze request volumes, SLA performance, backlog trends, and quality metrics.
• Develop ad hoc analyses to support governance and operational decisions.
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Support dashboard development and KPI reporting for leadership.
• Document operational procedures, business rules, and stewardship workflows.
• Support implementation of data governance controls and standards.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-production validation activities.
• Participate in governance reviews, data quality assessments, and issue management processes.
• Recommend process improvements based on analysis findings.
• Provide support to business users, Data Stewards, and Technology teams.
• Participate in governance meetings and operational reviews.
• Support training and onboarding activities for stewardship users.
• Serve as a liaison/ops support between business and technology teams during data investigations.
• Independently conduct complex data analysis and issue investigations.
• Lead data quality assessments and root cause analyses.
• Coordinate cross-functional resolution of data issues.
• Develop advanced reporting and KPI frameworks.
• Support governance initiatives and process improvement efforts.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on analytical techniques and data management best practices.

What you'll need

• 4-7 years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Operations, or Enterprise Data Management.
• Experience performing complex data investigations and root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting enterprise data governance and stewardship initiatives.
• Experience developing metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Strong SQL querying and data analysis skills.
• Data profiling, reconciliation, and validation experience.
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Data quality assessment and remediation tracking.
• Reporting and dashboard development.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present analytical findings to business stakeholders.
• Experience documenting business rules, data issues, and process workflows.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business, operations, stewardship, governance, and technology teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting large-scale data management programs.
• Customer / Finance domain knowledge, including familiarity with customer, organizational, financial, and reference data domains.
• Experience supporting regulated financial services environments.
• Experience with one or more of: SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Collibra / IDQ / IDMC, ServiceNow / Azure DevOps / JIRA / Agile, Power BI / Excel / Advanced Analytics.
