Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer to design and operate scalable data systems powering analytics and customer-facing experiences for DevRev Computer.

What you'll do

• Own data architecture for large-scale, high-impact projects with tradeoffs across scalability, reliability, performance, maintainability, and cost.
• Design, build, and operate pipelines and data systems to ingest, transform, store, and serve large volumes of data.
• Translate data requirements into robust technical solutions with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams.
• Define data quality, reliability, and SLA/SLO requirements for owned datasets and systems.
• Design and optimize data models, databases, and SQL workloads focused on query performance and storage efficiency.
• Build reusable frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure for data products.
• Mentor engineers via technical guidance, design reviews, and actionable feedback.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong programming experience in one or more general-purpose languages (Go, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience designing and operating production-grade data pipelines or distributed data systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and their performance/scalability characteristics.
• Strong ability to independently drive projects from design through deployment and operation.
