Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer to lead technical design and development of an Analytic Foundation within Mastercard’s Data & Services Data Analytics and AI Solutions (DAAI) program.

What you'll do

• Scope, design, and implement complex features.
• Design and implement intuitive, responsive UIs for data and analytics.
• Build and maintain analytics and data models for performant, scalable products.
• Write and review performant, well-tested code to ensure high code quality.
• Mentor junior software engineers and teammates.
• Partner with Product Managers and Customer Experience Designers to scope and build modules and features.
• Collaborate across teams to build and enhance customer value solutions.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of full stack engineering experience in an agile production environment.
• Experience leading design and implementation of large, complex features in full-stack applications.
• Ability to work across business, data management, and technical teams.
• Experience using open source tools and data techniques including predictive analytics, machine learning, and advanced statistics.
• High proficiency in using Python or Scala, Spark, and Hadoop platforms/tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Scoop) and SQL.
• Experience building/deploying production data-driven applications and data processing pipelines and/or implementing ML systems at scale.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
