Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer (Amoeba - Experimentation Platform) responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure that power Roku’s experimentation platform for A/B testing, feature rollouts, and data-driven product decisions.

What you'll do

• Own and evolve data pipelines powering the experimentation platform.
• Design, build, and maintain orchestrated data workflows for experiment aggregations, metric computation, and delivery.
• Develop distributed data processing jobs for large-scale event processing and experiment analytics.
• Collaborate with product engineering to align data contracts and ingestion patterns.
• Support migration and modernization across storage formats and cross-cloud workloads.
• Ensure data quality, freshness, and observability across Amoeba pipelines.

What you'll need

• 8+ years professional experience as a data or software engineer.
• More than 3 years building large-scale data pipelines in production.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language; Python is required.
• Deep experience with big data technologies including Spark, Airflow, Hive, Kafka, Presto/Trino, and HDFS.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• BS in Computer Science; MS in Computer Science preferred.
