Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer in a client-facing consulting role, leading Data, Analytics and AI engagements using Microsoft technologies. The role combines technical delivery, data platform architecture, governance, analytics and stakeholder management.

What you'll do

• Lead complex Data, Analytics, AI and platform modernization projects.
• Facilitate client workshops and translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Design scalable, secure and governed data platform architectures.
• Develop data models, semantic models and analytics solutions.
• Mentor consultants and promote engineering excellence.
• Produce technical documentation and client-facing deliverables.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery challenges.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of experience in client-facing consultancy or professional services.
• 3+ years delivering Data & AI, analytics or data platform projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL and Data Lake technologies.
• Hands-on skills with SQL, Python, Spark and PySpark.
• Experience with Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Medallion Architecture and data modelling.
• Experience building data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
