Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer to design and operate ETL/data pipelines and data models supporting payments analytics, monitoring, and fraud-related reporting.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for an enterprise data warehouse.
• Build data models for real-time transaction monitoring, reconciliation, chargeback tracking, and fraud analysis.
• Translate business requirements into data models and reports in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage and optimize large-scale data systems using Oracle and SQL Server.
• Integrate and normalize payment data from platforms such as Worldpay, Adyen, and Stripe.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies to support reconciliation and root-cause analysis.
• Build dashboards and reports for approval rates, decline reasons, dispute trends, and interchange fee performance.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Engineering role.
• Strong experience with Oracle and SQL Server, including complex SQL query writing and performance tuning.
• Proven expertise designing and building ETL workflows for large-scale data warehouses.
• Working understanding of payment processing flows, PSP integrations, and payment metrics (e.g., conversion rate, chargeback rate, retry logic).
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, SCDs).
• Ability to handle ambiguity and convert problem statements into structured data solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
