Senior Data Engineer - IT

Overview

Senior Data Engineer responsible for leading data processing, analysis, and troubleshooting across Future Factory solutions. The role focuses on resolving production data issues, improving data reliability, and strengthening operational controls.

What you'll do

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex data support tickets.
• Analyze logs, queries, data flows, mappings, schedules, and dependencies to identify root causes.
• Define corrective actions, preventive controls, monitoring improvements, and troubleshooting playbooks.
• Collaborate with solution managers, architects, application teams, support teams, and business stakeholders.
• Review and guide junior engineers on validation, ticket analysis, RCA, documentation, and support.
• Support deployments, stabilization, data quality governance, performance tuning, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL development, production support, data analysis, or data integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data transformation, pipeline monitoring, and data quality checks.
• Knowledge of APIs and troubleshooting production data issues.
• Experience with root cause analysis, incident resolution, ticket governance, and operational documentation.
• Ability to guide junior engineers and communicate technical findings clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud data platforms, enterprise data warehouses, dashboards, manufacturing data, or analytics environments.
