Overview
Senior Database Programmer role supporting global data management capabilities for clinical data within Elanco’s R&D.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with R&D stakeholders to ensure data integrity, data quality, validation, and compliance.
- Design, develop, and maintain clinical databases and related objects such as case report forms and edit checks.
- Perform validation, testing, self-testing, and self-testing-related activities for database objects.
- Copy/create and customize study database objects from a global library and build non-standard objects from scratch when needed.
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for tools and documentation.
- Support post-production changes, CRF annotations, UAT participation, migrations, and impact analysis.
- Lead guidance for migrations and act as a primary technical expert for complex post-production changes.
What you'll need
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the animal/human health industry.
- BS or equivalent in IT, statistics, or a scientific field related to animal health/human health.
- Strong GxP knowledge, specifically GLP, GCP, and GMP.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work across interdisciplinary teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of electronic systems and capabilities used in animal/human health R&D, maintenance validation, and data pulls (a plus stated).
