Senior Detection Engineer

Overview

Senior Detection Engineer focused on owning a detection coverage domain for health, efficacy, and high-standard detection content in the Threat Hunting department.

What you’ll do

• Own accountability for domain health, backlog prioritization, and overall effectiveness.
• Lead the hardest detection challenges by defining design patterns, coding standards, and implementation blueprints.
• Set criteria for detection content that is validated, tuned, and maintainable to reduce false positives and missed threats.
• Drive key domain metrics including detection fidelity, ATT&CK coverage, false-positive/negative rates, and regression prevention.
• Turn threat intelligence, threat hunting inputs, and SOC analyst feedback into roadmap priorities and engine improvements.

What you’ll need

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience applying AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes.
• Deep detection experience in at least one of Endpoint (MDR), Cloud/SaaS, Identity, Email, or SIEM.
• Ability to own technical work end-to-end with accountability for quality.
• Strong grasp of attacker behavior and fluency with ATT&CK to guide coverage.
• Detector-as-code workflow using Git, CI/CD, version control, code reviews, and controlled deployments.
