Senior Developer 2

Overview

A highly skilled developer responsible for delivering major product features independently, mentoring team members, and driving technical excellence across software development practices, with a key role in architecture, design, and strategic initiatives.

What you'll do

• Deliver major product features independently, with little or no guidance.
• Perform complex programming tasks and implement software systems, often including other team members.
• Take responsibility for the quality and delivery of your code.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and HLD meetings; review and provide input to HLDs.
• Review peers' code and provide detailed feedback.
• Take ownership of cross-functional dependencies and align with other teams.
• Join daily standups, take on tasks by priority, and participate in Team development activities (Daily Scrums, Retrospectives, Test Fest, etc.).
• Support the on-call rotation.
• Support and train other developers to unblock them as needed.
• Set standards for maintainable code practice and continuously improve them.
• Mentor junior members and help grow and develop others in the team, including regular weekly mentoring and coaching through pairing, code examples, or knowledge sharing sessions.
• Identify and address technical debt and bottlenecks in the system.
• Design and deliver Proofs of Concept (POCs) for high-impact projects.
• Lead brainstorming sessions for architectural and strategic initiatives and technical workshops.
• Align deliverables with broader business objectives and OKRs.
• Drive post-mortems and retrospectives and conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
• Work with multiple stakeholders (PM, PgM, etc.) and across multiple repos and teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in React JS, Golang, Python, AWS.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development practices, with mastery over writing and debugging code.
• Understanding of design patterns and design anti-patterns.
• Possesses tech, product and domain expertise.
• Good understanding of the competitive market landscape.
• Background checks are required for this position.

• Candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews.
