Senior Developer Advocate (API's)

Overview

Senior Developer Advocate supporting developers and partners building solutions with Autodesk Platform Services and related APIs. The role combines engineering, developer content creation, technical support, and collaboration with product and engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Create sample applications, SDKs, and reference code.
• Produce tutorials, how-to guides, blog posts, and demos.
• Support partners and customers integrating APS APIs.
• Reproduce technical issues and coordinate fixes with engineering.
• Influence API design and improve developer experience.
• Maintain runbooks and onboarding flows.
• Deliver MCP server and client reference implementations.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering or developer-facing experience.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and modern web or cloud stacks.
• Ability to produce clean, tested sample code.
• Understanding of OAuth2, service accounts, and secure integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort presenting to technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Developer advocacy, developer support, or partner-facing engineering experience.
• Experience with APS, Forge, or Autodesk product APIs.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, .NET, Docker, or cloud deployment.
• Familiarity with MCP or agentic AI integration concepts.
