Senior Director - Procurement Global Delivery Center

Overview

Lead GSK's Global Delivery Centre in India, delivering end-to-end Source-to-Contract services to the global procurement organisation, with oversight of the wider procurement community in GCC India.

What you'll do

• Accountable for management of GDC operations delivering Source-to-Contract across all indirect and direct categories of spend.
• Deliver benefits identified in local, regional and global strategies through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation.
• Work in close collaboration with the Procurement Global Delivery Centre in Poland to ensure consistency of delivery.
• Ensure the GDC meets agreed service levels for on-time delivery, process adherence, savings delivery and operating budget.
• Support procurement professionals in identifying and delivering strategic and tactical programmes that deliver the function's savings targets.
• Build strategic relationships with a network of senior GSK stakeholders to identify opportunities to further Procurement's value proposition.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement and automation initiatives in the GDC, including productivity gains, process rationalisation and increased project complexity.
• Collaborate with the LOC, sites and global category teams to meet key business and customer needs.
• Partner with the Centre of Excellence Global Process Owner team to drive system and process optimisation.

What you'll need

• 18+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, engineering or a related discipline.
• Substantial senior leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or source-to-contract operations within a complex, global organisation.
• Demonstrated experience leading a large delivery centre or shared-services team.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end source-to-contract processes, including sourcing strategy execution, negotiation, contracting, risk management and savings delivery.
• Proven accountability for service performance, including delivery against service levels, operating budgets, process compliance, quality and customer outcomes.
• Strong track record of delivering continuous improvement, process simplification, productivity gains, automation and technology-enabled procurement transformation.
• Exceptional stakeholder-management and influencing skills across global category teams, business units, Finance and senior leadership.
• Experience collaborating across regions and delivery centres to establish consistent standards, governance and ways of working.
• Strong people leadership capability, including talent development, succession planning, performance management and building an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Sound commercial judgement and analytical capability, with the ability to balance savings, assurance of supply, quality, service, innovation and risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Experience operating in an India GCC environment.

Details

• Leads a direct team of approximately 40-60 procurement professionals.
• Reports to the VP, Digital & Technology, GDC and COE Procurement, and is part of the Procurement Centre of Excellence leadership team.
• Member of the GCC leadership team, with oversight of approximately 80 procurement members in GCC India.
