Senior Engineer

Overview

Senior Engineer designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure for analytics, reporting, and product features.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting and delivering data.
• Develop and optimize data models and schemas for analytics and reporting needs.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data quality issues, and set up alerting and observability.
• Partner with analytics, product, and engineering stakeholders to translate data needs into durable solutions.
• Improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data infrastructure.
• Write technical documentation and contribute to testing, code review, and deployment standards.
• Support production data systems via on-call or incident response rotations.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one data engineering programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
• Hands-on experience building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines in production.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data warehousing tools.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and pipeline orchestration concepts.
• Comfort working with large, complex datasets and diagnosing data issues independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Familiarity with streaming data technologies like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code practices such as Terraform.
• Prior experience supporting analytics or data science teams directly.
