Senior Engineer

Overview

Develop embedded software, firmware, runtime components and hardware drivers for low-power accelerators and multi-DSP platforms used in Qualcomm Snapdragon products.

What you'll do

• Design, integrate and test embedded software, firmware and runtime components.
• Develop drivers for machine-learning accelerators, including initialization, interrupts, power transitions and error recovery.
• Design software for multi-DSP and heterogeneous compute architectures.
• Implement inter-processor communication using shared memory, queues, interrupts and RPCs.
• Develop memory-management solutions covering allocation, address translation, cache coherency and DMA.
• Optimize software for latency, throughput, memory footprint and power consumption.
• Debug system issues and build unit, integration and system-level test frameworks.

What you'll need

• Strong embedded C programming and low-level software development experience.
• Understanding of operating-system concepts, drivers, synchronization and virtual memory.
• Experience with RTOS and/or embedded Linux, board bring-up and system debugging.
• Experience with multi-core, multi-DSP or heterogeneous processor architectures.
• Experience developing hardware drivers and inter-processor communication.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, memory systems, DMA and memory-mapped I/O.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years, Master's degree with 1+ year, or a PhD in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience with SoC architecture, hardware specifications and low-level profiling.
• Experience with secure execution, fault-tolerant design and platform resource management.
