Job description
Overview
Senior Lead Engineer for Carrier Engineering Embedded Platforms in Hyderabad, developing and releasing robust Yocto-based Linux OS distributions for embedded product applications.
What you'll do
- Develop and migrate systems to Yocto-based platform releases.
- Maintain and support Yocto build system workflows in a CI/CD environment, including packaging and deployment.
- Configure, modify, and integrate the Linux kernel and embedded boot loaders.
- Port custom drivers and apply patches to legacy packages.
- Develop embedded middleware applications and protocol/driver components for Linux platforms.
- Design and maintain APIs and SDKs, plus support portability via HAL/Cloud Abstraction Layers.
What you'll need
- 6+ years of experience in C/C++ software development.
- Experience with Python and Shell scripting.
- Hands-on expertise with Linux OS (and RTOS), multithreading.
- Experience with embedded Linux using Yocto/Open Embedded/buildroot.
- Experience with U-Boot, Linux kernel configuration, and device tree.
- Knowledge of GNU (cross-)toolchain and CMake.
- Experience building images for ARM hardware platforms.
