Senior Engineer Design

Overview

Senior Engineer Design to lead and execute TRL/advanced technology design projects, including scope, planning, delivery, and design/analytical work for compressor and components.

What you'll do

• Manage and lead TRL and advanced technology projects end-to-end for effective delivery.
• Perform analytical/design calculations for component and compressor design.
• Generate and develop new design concepts to improve product efficiency and meet specifications.
• Convert ideas into 3D CAD models in NX for production, prototyping and FEA needs.
• Coordinate with global stakeholders and teams across functions including design, NPD, analysis, suppliers and quality.
• Plan design reviews and quality checks, and prepare detailed project reports.
• Support development of next-generation technologies and initiate Kaizen/continuous improvement activities.

What you'll need

• M.E./M. Tech. (Design) with 3-5 years of experience.
• Deep understanding of thermal & structural design principles, materials, mechanical systems and fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings & GD&T, tolerance analysis, and basic engineering calculations.
• Understanding of material science, machine design, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in structural/thermal design and design compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in design of compressors or rotating machines and related analytical calculations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on CAD (NX) and drafting, plus FEA/CFD understanding.
• Knowledge of DFMEA/DFMA/DOE.
• Knowledge of HVAC.
