Overview
Senior ESSD Validation Engineer responsible for validating Micron NAND-based SSD systems by creating test strategies, plans, cases, and automation frameworks for quality and reliability.
What you'll do
- Define and execute SSD firmware validation test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, system-level, performance, reliability, and customer qualification testing.
- Validate SSD firmware against NVMe, PCIe, OCP Cloud SSD, and customer-specific specifications.
- Work with firmware, hardware, and system engineering teams to identify, debug, and resolve product issues.
- Analyze test results, identify quality risks, and recommend actions to stakeholders.
- Review, track, document, and communicate validation findings, defects, and project status.
- Support customer qualification activities and reproduce customer-reported issues when required.
What you'll need
- 4–10 years of experience in Embedded Firmware, Storage Systems, SSD Validation, or related engineering fields.
- Strong knowledge of SSD architecture, NVMe/PCIe technologies, storage systems, and validation methodologies.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python.
- Hands-on Linux and Windows operating system debugging experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Ability to analyze failures and perform root-cause investigations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
