Senior Engineer - ESSD Validation

Overview

Senior ESSD Validation Engineer responsible for validating Micron NAND-based SSD systems by creating test strategies, plans, cases, and automation frameworks for quality and reliability.

What you'll do

• Define and execute SSD firmware validation test plans and test cases.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, system-level, performance, reliability, and customer qualification testing.
• Validate SSD firmware against NVMe, PCIe, OCP Cloud SSD, and customer-specific specifications.
• Work with firmware, hardware, and system engineering teams to identify, debug, and resolve product issues.
• Analyze test results, identify quality risks, and recommend actions to stakeholders.
• Review, track, document, and communicate validation findings, defects, and project status.
• Support customer qualification activities and reproduce customer-reported issues when required.

What you'll need

• 4–10 years of experience in Embedded Firmware, Storage Systems, SSD Validation, or related engineering fields.
• Strong knowledge of SSD architecture, NVMe/PCIe technologies, storage systems, and validation methodologies.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python.
• Hands-on Linux and Windows operating system debugging experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Ability to analyze failures and perform root-cause investigations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
