Senior Engineer, Functional Testing

Overview

Senior QA Engineer role in the TCOS (Train Control Office Suite) team within Signaling & Systems under the Digital Intelligence group, focused on validating software quality, reliability, and safety.

What you'll do

• Understand requirements and translate them into clear, repeatable, maintainable test solutions.
• Design and execute detailed functional, integration, regression, and release validation test cases.
• Support automation and expand integration, functional, and automation test coverage.
• Provide quality gate inputs with accurate test status, defect trends, test evidence, and risk callouts.
• Log and triage defects with reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, and impact details; participate in RCA.
• Collaborate with developers, QA leads, architects, and product managers across the SDLC to identify risks and validate fixes.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of professional experience in both manual and automation testing for enterprise-grade software products (min 3 years explicitly stated).
• Knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools.
• Knowledge of API-based automation and UI automation using tools like Robot Framework, Eggplant, Ranorex, or Selenium.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous automation and deployment.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in specified fields (Electrical & Electronics, E&T, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or equivalent).
