Senior Engineer - GBS IND

Overview

Senior Hadoop Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Big Data solutions for analytics, insights, and operational applications.

What you'll do

• Develop scalable solutions for collecting, storing, and analyzing large datasets.
• Design and optimize workflows using Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Hive, and related technologies.
• Implement near-real-time and streaming solutions with Spark Streaming and Kafka.
• Identify bottlenecks, benchmark performance, and improve system efficiency.
• Define Big Data strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Support production incident troubleshooting and application releases.
• Mentor junior teammates and provide technical guidance.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of application development experience focused on Big Data.
• Strong experience with Hadoop stack technologies including Spark, Hive, Yarn, Sqoop, Impala, Hue, and HDFS.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, and Bash or Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Hadoop architecture, design patterns, frameworks, automation, and programming best practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Understanding of security, compliance, resiliency, scalability, and automation requirements.
• Graduation or post-graduation in B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, or MCA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark Streaming, Kafka, or Flink.
• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as HBase, MongoDB, or SingleStore.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Generative AI technologies, machine learning, or data analysis.
• Experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
