Senior Lead Engineer, Retail Inventory

Overview

Lead the architecture and development of RFID-driven, AI-enabled inventory and store-operation systems for retail. The role combines full-stack engineering, technical leadership, stakeholder management, and team mentoring.

What you'll do

• Design and implement microservices and cloud-native solutions on GCP.
• Build mobile and web applications for store touchpoints and RFID workflows.
• Embed agentic AI, LLM tooling, and predictive insights into inventory operations.
• Lead engineers developing scalable real-time and predictive inventory solutions.
• Set governance for code reviews, branching, test automation, and observability.
• Guide automated solutions to reduce incident-resolution times.
• Work with globally distributed teams using Scrum or Kanban.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of overall experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a technical lead.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Strong experience with GCP, microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, APIs, and databases.
• Knowledge of security, observability, test-driven development, and event-driven systems.

Nice to have

• Retail or e-commerce experience.
• AI/ML, LLM API, or agentic framework experience.
• RFID exposure.
• GCP experience.
• Experience with Mulesoft, SAP PO/BTP, or Boomi.
