Senior Engineer I

Overview

Lead engineering for core travel mid- and back-office systems supporting billing, invoicing, and reconciliation. Combine hands-on software development with team leadership and technical direction.

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers.
• Design and implement backend solutions with Java and Spring Boot.
• Build front-end interfaces and internal tools with ReactJS.
• Architect and deploy cloud-native services on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Estimate roadmap effort, risks, dependencies, and work breakdowns.
• Resolve complex technical and production issues.
• Establish engineering guidelines, coding standards, and best practices.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of professional IT experience.
• 5+ years of relevant Java experience.
• 7+ years designing distributed applications.
• Experience leading contractors, offshore teams, and employees.
• Experience managing product or platform production support teams.
• Proficiency in ReactJS, REST APIs, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture.
• Experience with RDBMS, complex queries, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and functions.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, India.
• Work from the Bangalore office at least 3 days per week.
• Second shift: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST.
• Occasional weekend work is required.
