Senior Engineer-Mechanical

Overview

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for industrial facility design in semiconductor manufacturing and pharmaceuticals, focused on mechanical systems, equipment layouts, and process infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Review detailed mechanical designs, equipment layouts, and technical drawings for cleanroom HVAC and exhaust systems.
• Review 3D models, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics.
• Prepare and review material specifications for mechanical components such as chillers, AHUs, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
• Perform sizing and pressure drop/flow rate calculations for mechanical pipelines and equipment.
• Review mechanical infrastructure for systems including compressed air, steam, vacuum, and cooling water.
• Conduct pipe stress analysis, dynamic simulations, vibration analysis, and foundation design reviews.
• Coordinate mechanical design using clash detection and BIM methodologies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical design engineering for pharmaceuticals or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 for review.
• Knowledge of semiconductor front and back-end facilities.
• Experience with cleanroom HVAC and semiconductor exhaust systems and mechanical utilities.
• Experience with clash detection and 3D model coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Ability to leverage AI in day-to-day activities using Gen-AI tools such as Co-Pilot, Chat GPT, Claude, or LLMs.
