Senior Engineer - Mechanical

Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing switchboard and panelboard busbar assemblies, preparing models and drawings, and supporting engineering changes and manufacturing processes.

What you'll do

• Interpret customer requirements and create 3D busbar models in Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare and release mechanical BOMs, drawings, ECRs, and ECOs.
• Coordinate busbar layouts and design changes with plant mechanical engineering teams.
• Control CAD models and engineering documentation in ENOVIA and related systems.
• Support assembly teams with process and information-quality issues.
• Design special fabricated parts and route manufacturing information to assembly teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and deliver assigned tasks to schedule.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of work experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with low- or medium-voltage switchgear, switchboards, or panelboards.
• Experience with busbar sizing, enclosure selection, and mechanical mounting assemblies.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or CREO.
• Experience with BOMs, PLM or ERP systems, and engineering documentation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with global partners and teams across different regions.
• Knowledge of IEC/UL standards.
• Project management and virtual-environment experience.
