Senior Engineer, Structural Modeling, TECHNOLOGY - AMAIS

Overview

Work as a Senior Engineer in Micron Technology's Advanced Modeling and AI Solutions (AMAIS) Group on materials, structure, or process modeling projects that support memory development and manufacturing. Develop predictive structure models across multiple DRAM and NAND nodes and collaborate with engineering, product design, and process teams.

What you'll do

• Code, implement, and utilize numerical models.
• Develop models and report results to the AMAIS team.
• Collaborate with the AMAIS team on next steps.
• Interact with process engineers and development teams to identify questions and issues hindering node development milestones.
• Create software programs, algorithms, and computational modeling tools to extract concrete insights from modeling and data.
• Interpret and convey insights and findings from models and experiments to engineering teams and leaders.
• Perform predictive structure modeling across multiple DRAM and NAND nodes.
• Collaborate with product design and process teams on structure model development and deployment.
• Provide solutions to be implemented on Silicon.
• Write reports and conference papers.

What you'll need

• Independence and comfort executing activities and needs.
• Advanced skills in level set method (LSM) for CAD, meshing, DOE, analysis, and rendering.
• Experience in computational geometry, virtual structure modeling, numerical methods, and scientific computing.
• Experience in some of these tools: Abaqus, ANSYS, Victory Process, SPX, SEM3D.
• Strong background in Industrial Design, CAD, Production and Engineering Design.
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning concepts and applications.
• Familiarity with FEA tools and thermo-mechanical modeling.
• Experience with reports and presentations customized for users and leaders.
• Outstanding teamwork and experience with remote collaboration tools.
• Strong debug and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for engineering workflow and modeling.
• 5+ years of modeling experience.
• Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor process integration.
