Senior Engineering Manager - Platform Engineering

Overview

Hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead technical execution, architecture, roadmap, and delivery for core platform domains within Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP).

What you'll do

• Own architecture and technical direction for assigned platform domains.
• Translate platform strategy into executable engineering roadmaps.
• Drive technical design for shared services, APIs, schemas, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Lead and mentor platform engineering teams and technical leads.
• Deliver platform capabilities that simplify and accelerate product development.
• Partner across engineering teams to resolve dependencies and drive adoption of platform services.
• Ensure shared services meet reliability, security, and operational excellence objectives.

What you'll need

• Significant experience building and operating large-scale distributed platforms or multi-tenant SaaS systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams responsible for platform, backend, or infrastructure services.
• Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and shared platform services.
• Experience designing and operating highly available production services.
• Strong operational knowledge of observability, incident management, and production readiness.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and grow technical leaders.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Details

• Reports to SVP Engineering.
• Own multiple core platform domains including authentication/authorization, tenant management, notifications/messaging, shared services, platform APIs and developer tooling.
