Overview
Lead a team of six Workday analysts and developers focused on internal employee technology, primarily Workday and adjacent People Organization systems. Balance team development and career aspirations with organizational objectives while driving project implementation, technical enhancement, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Workday analysts and developers, fostering innovation, ownership, and growth.
- Drive execution of initiatives supporting the People Org Roadmap, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Discover opportunities to reduce technical debt and drive ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate in planning and estimating activities and participate in discussions about capacity and priorities.
- Build connections with Product and HR stakeholders, providing guidance, anticipating challenges, and finding solutions for business issues.
- Represent Zillow's needs with third-party vendors and hold them accountable to expectations, service level agreements, and contractual commitments.
- Negotiate trade-off discussions with senior leaders, articulating pros and cons and providing options and recommendations aligned with Zillow's goals and values.
- Prioritize initiatives that balance short-term needs with long-term vision and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Measure the impact of the roadmap and ensure changes achieve the expected results.
- Guide the team through capacity planning, agile execution, and continuous improvement of team operations.
- Identify operational opportunities and implement improvements using a continuous improvement philosophy.
- Lead quarterly, mid-year, and annual planning for the team.
- Mentor future leaders in strategy, collaboration, and execution.
- Communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and alternative options clearly and confidently to executive audiences.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience in People/HR technology stacks, with extensive exposure to the Workday ecosystem.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, with a proven track record of getting results through others.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum processes and associated ceremonies, with the ability to lead a team in an agile environment.
- Passion for career development and multiplying the impact of team members through mentoring and coaching of individual contributors.
- Ability to adapt communication style to audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leaders and executives.
- Strong commitment to operational excellence, including uncovering underlying causes of problems, using data to guide decision-making, and fostering ongoing improvement.
- Previous experience maintaining relationships with external vendors and a solid understanding of commonly accepted approaches in the industry.
- Track record of successfully delivering projects through team members who report to you and collaborating effectively with partner teams.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details to understand the work thoroughly.

- Location: Bengaluru.
- Office position: employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month.
- Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
