Senior Engineering Manager - Continuous Deployment

Overview

Lead a globally distributed engineering team building Continuous Deployment capabilities, including reliable deployment orchestration, state reconciliation, durable workflows, and governance.

What you'll do

• Build and manage a globally distributed engineering team.
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineers.
• Shape roadmaps and architectural decisions with product and engineering partners.
• Set expectations for reliable, secure, maintainable, and performant delivery.
• Coach engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and skill development.
• Track milestones, identify blockers, and address delivery risks.
• Participate in the incident-management on-call rotation.

What you'll need

• Experience managing engineering teams and contributing to architectural discussions.
• Experience with distributed systems and durable workflow execution.
• Experience with release orchestration, deployment automation, or continuous delivery at scale.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes deployment patterns and GitOps workflows.
• Knowledge of blue/green and canary deployment strategies.
• Experience with policy-based governance and event-driven architectures.
• Experience establishing processes and hiring foundational team members in early-stage contexts.
