Job description

Overview

Senior Executive in the Engineering (Plant Maintenance) department, responsible for electrical systems, utility water systems, automation and process control, equipment maintenance, safety, compliance and related engineering activities.

What you'll do

  • Ensure compliance with GMP/GEP/GDP.
  • Ensure safety compliance according to Abbott Safety Guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain HT/LT electrical distribution systems.
  • Monitor transformers, DG sets, PCC/MCC panels, UPS systems and power distribution networks.
  • Track daily power consumption and energy performance.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize downtime.
  • Support energy conservation and power quality improvement projects.
  • Manage raw water, soft water, purified water and utility water systems.
  • Operate and monitor WTP, RO, Softener and ETP systems.
  • Track daily water consumption and identify reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure water quality meets process and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor pumps, pipelines, tanks and distribution systems.
  • Implement water conservation and reuse initiatives.
  • Provide prompt response to inquiries during breakdowns and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order to prevent disruption of activities.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, repair, report on and recommend or perform service of SCADA, PLC, instrumentation, servo drive motor controls and process analyzers.
  • Design and develop new control systems, and test, maintain and modify existing systems.
  • Assist in forecasting requirements, creating a budget and scheduling expenses for electrical components.
  • Keep records of all stock and supplies, including the company's electrical equipment.
  • Work with the production team to formulate the best cost-effective manufacturing process.
  • Supervise electrical works when new installations are undertaken.
  • Learn new skills and attend training programs to increase knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Provide a safe working environment for staff and prevent electricity-induced accidents and mishaps.
  • Purchase instruments, fittings and components including HMI, PLC and IPC, or supervise staff responsible for this work.

What you'll need

  • B Tach in Electrical or Instrumentation.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience.
  • Experience in automation engineering.
  • Experience with process control programming languages such as PLC (programmable logic controller).

  • Location: Village Mauza, Baddi, India.
  • Work shift: Standard.
  • Continuous standing for prolonged periods, more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day.
