Senior Finance Analyst - General Accounting

Overview

Senior Finance Analyst in General Accounting within the Client Finance team at JLL Business Services, Hyderabad, handling general ledger close and reporting for an assigned real estate portfolio.

What you'll do

• Be responsible for the General Ledger month-end close, including posting cash, reclass and accrual journals, and others.
• Review actual to budget variances.
• Manage cash management and perform bank reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and analysis.
• Acquire expert knowledge of real estate accounting software.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements for the assigned portfolio within established deadlines, including supporting schedules required for account balances or as requested by stakeholders.
• Submit financial statements and work papers in reviewable form, including documentation, within the proper time frame for review.
• Responsible for cash management of assigned properties.
• Ensure all bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly.
• Coordinate and organize year-end audit work and prepare supporting schedules.
• Perform all operational activities assigned to accounts handled.

What you'll need

• Strong finance background.
• Minimum 3-5 years of operational/general ledger accounting and finance experience, including profit and loss analysis and balance sheet overview.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and logical thinking; positive attitude to develop solutions quickly.
• Impactful written and verbal communication to interact with clients, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethics.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
• Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.
• Stakeholder management skills and experience working with US clients.

Nice to have

• Commerce graduate or Post Graduate in a finance background.
• Experience in real estate accounting.
