Overview
Senior Information Security Engineer responsible for engineering, securing, automating, and supporting enterprise directory platforms, with primary emphasis on Ping Directory and identity authentication infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Lead or support security incident investigations, digital forensics, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
- Engineer, configure, deploy, and support Ping Directory and related enterprise directory platforms.
- Design and maintain highly available directory architectures, including replication, synchronization, proxy services, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Automate installation, configuration, upgrades, backups, monitoring, and maintenance using Ansible, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Monitor availability, performance, capacity, authentication activity, replication health, and critical system events.
- Partner with application, engineering, security, risk, and operations teams on secure integrations and project delivery.
- Participate in rotating 24x7 production support and on-call coverage.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Hands-on experience administering or engineering enterprise LDAP directory platforms.
- Strong knowledge of LDAP concepts, replication, synchronization, proxy services, schemas, access controls, and password policies.
- Experience with Linux or Unix administration and secure, highly available production infrastructure.
- Experience with SSL/TLS, PKI, certificates, encryption, key stores, and trust stores.
- Experience with automation or scripting using Ansible, Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of networking, monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory compliance.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Ping Directory, Ping Data Sync, Ping Directory Proxy Server, or Oracle Unified Directory.
- Experience with CI/CD, source-code management, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with Splunk, SiteScope, ServiceNow, or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Experience leading upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Details
- Location: Bengaluru, India.
- Standard hours: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM IST, with flexibility for periodic evening meetings and operational calls.
- Weekend on-call coverage is approximately once every eight weeks.
