Overview
Manage operational software asset management activities, effective license positions, software requests and reviews, compliance, procurement, renewals, reporting, and vendor and stakeholder relationships.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain the Effective License Position (ELP) for Tier-1 publishers including SAP, Microsoft, Broadcom, Adobe, IBM, and Oracle.
- Lead and manage software license reconciliation efforts to align with business needs, reduce costs, and maximize budget utilization.
- Streamline New Software Request (NSR) and Existing Software Review (ESR) processes.
- Work on remediation to ensure compliance and optimize software usage across the landscape.
- Work with vendors and technical teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate issues on an expedited basis.
- Manage software license procurement, allocation, and removal.
- Manage ServiceNow software requests while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage publisher portals and create dashboards monitoring software usage, asset status, and performance metrics.
- Provide and improve data, reports, and dashboards on software lifecycle management and software ROI.
- Address license-related inquiries from stakeholders and provide timely solutions.
- Apply ITIL best practices to improve software asset management processes and align with IT service management (ITSM) standards.
- Process ARIBA purchases and oversee software renewals.
- Build relationships with software stakeholders and vendors and support communication and negotiations.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, provide required data, and respond to questions and action items.
- Develop presentations on changing volumes, efficiency opportunities, and risk mitigation.
- Support User Acceptance Tests and implement code into Production.
- Build stable working relationships within the department and coordinate efforts with others.
- Exchange detailed information with internal colleagues.
- Perform activities safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a similar field of study, or at least 3 years in a similar role with the same or greater level of responsibilities.
- Understanding of software license agreements and advantageous terms and conditions.
- Experience with SAM tools, including license tracking, reporting, compliance, and configuration.
- Experience in CMDB, Flexera Discovery, and asset management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with geo-dispersed teams.
- Ability to work successfully with colleagues from other cultures.
- Experience with Flexera One platform support, including installation, upgrades, and fix packs.
- Experience leading or executing system upgrades on Flexera One.
- Experience implementing data loads, inbound and outbound API integrations, catalog items, and workflows within Flexera.
- Experience in agent deployment, device inventory, discovery, and scripting skills.
- Hands-on experience in scripting languages including Linux, Java, and Angular.
- Ability to unit test and regression test implemented solutions as required.
