Senior Java Developer

Overview

Senior Java Developer to design, develop, test, and integrate Java backend applications, REST services, and microservices. You will own modules end-to-end and contribute to design, quality, performance, and delivery decisions.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and integrate Java-based applications and services.
• Own assigned modules across the software development lifecycle.
• Build and enhance REST-based web services and microservices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and other stakeholders on requirements and features.
• Review functional specifications and provide technical feedback.
• Follow Agile practices and SDLC processes to deliver work predictably.
• Support code quality via testing, integration, review, and troubleshooting.

What you'll need

• 9–12 years of software development experience with strong hands-on Java expertise.
• Professional proficiency in Java 8.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST-based web services.
• Experience designing and developing highly scalable, distributed applications.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working with Agile delivery methods and SDLC practices.
• BE in ECE, ETC, CSE, or ISE.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical ideas clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with Postgres.
• Exposure to Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Big Data technologies.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Experience with performance and scalability tuning in high-volume cloud-based applications.
