Senior Java Developer – Assistant Vice President

Overview

Intermediate-level Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst role focused on analysis and programming for new or revised application systems.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient code aligned to best practices and architecture guidelines.
• Collaborate with product and front-end stakeholders to translate requirements into technical implementations.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to support.
• Conduct code reviews for quality, performance, and standards compliance.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues by identifying root causes.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security; mentor junior developers.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and related Spring projects.
• Strong understanding of Java (Java 8+ preferred).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of relational databases and experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Bachelor’s degree/university degree or equivalent experience.
