Senior Lead Developer – BARX PB

Overview

Senior Lead Developer role focused on designing, developing, and improving software solutions for business, platform, and technology capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and effective unit testing practices.
• Advise stakeholders and contribute to technical direction and requirements.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.

What you'll need

• Experience working within Investment Banking or capital markets.
• Design and develop full-stack applications using Java and JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong Java programming skills including JDK21+, OOP principles, collections, multithreading, and streaming API.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
• Understand microservices and RESTful API design/implementation.
• Core web technologies: HTML/CSS/JavaScript and frontend framework ReactJS.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle) plus Maven/Gradle and version control/CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab CI).

Nice to have

• Experience in Investment Banking domain areas like FX Cash, OTC Derivatives, or Prime Brokerage.
• Experience with messaging platforms (MQ/Kafka/Solace).
• Working experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Working experience in Agile methodology.
• Strong understanding of authentication/authorization frameworks and enterprise security protocols.
