Java Developer

Overview

Intermediate level Java Developer supporting application systems analysis, programming, and payment gateway application support. Builds and maintains backend services and APIs, with debugging and production troubleshooting responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend applications.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs using appropriate HTTP methods and standards.
• Analyze applications for vulnerabilities/security issues and perform testing and debugging.
• Debug issues across Java, Spring Boot, database, and Unix/Linux layers.
• Write unit/integration tests and ensure service reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, and stakeholders to deliver requirements.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry.
• Intermediate experience in Applications Development/Support role.
• SWIFT message types (MT and MX) and payments (ISO20022) knowledge is required.
• Experience implementing business logic using Core Java and Java 8 features.
• Knowledge of Java collections such as ArrayList, HashMap, and HashSet.
• Ability to write SQL queries with joins, filtering, grouping, sorting, and aggregation.
• Skills to analyze logs using Unix/Linux commands including grep, find, and tail.
