Senior/Lead Engineer - DSP/NSP Power Analysis & Correlation

Overview

Lead pre-silicon power analysis, optimization, and silicon correlation for DSP and NSP architectures. The role evaluates power-analysis methods, identifies optimization opportunities, and improves correlation between estimated and measured power.

What you'll do

• Evaluate pre-silicon power-analysis tools across simulation, emulation, and modeling environments.
• Analyze workload-level and block-level power for DSP/NSP subsystems.
• Identify power hotspots across architecture, RTL, and software layers.
• Characterize performance and power on silicon platforms.
• Correlate silicon measurements with pre-silicon estimates and investigate mismatches.
• Develop automation and methodologies to improve power prediction and correlation.
• Present technical findings to engineering stakeholders and leadership.

What you'll need

• 5–6 years of experience in power analysis, performance characterization, silicon validation, architecture analysis, or related areas.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Understanding of processor and SoC architecture fundamentals.
• Experience with simulation, emulation, performance models, or power models.
• Experience with silicon performance and power characterization.
• Familiarity with Python, Shell, Perl, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with DSP, AI/ML accelerators, vector processors, or heterogeneous compute architectures.
• Knowledge of power modeling, activity-based analysis, and PMU-based profiling.
• Experience correlating modeling results against silicon measurements.
• Experience with large-scale performance and power datasets and visualization tools.
