Senior Lead Engineer - Linux Software APSS Image Integration

Overview

Lead end-to-end technical execution and delivery of Linux-based software platforms across kernel, BSP, middleware, and system integration layers. Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver scalable Linux solutions and platform releases.

What you'll do

• Plan and deliver Linux software milestones across platform bring-up, stabilization, and releases.
• Drive BSP and platform enablement for SoCs, including bootloaders, kernels, device trees, drivers, and root filesystems.
• Coordinate silicon, software, validation, security, firmware, hardware, and customer teams.
• Guide architecture decisions involving Linux, device trees, Yocto, build systems, and boot flows.
• Track feature readiness, risks, quality metrics, release artifacts, and documentation.
• Lead root-cause analysis for boot, stability, performance, and CVE-related issues.
• Review patches and support upstream-first and open-source compliance practices.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in Linux kernel internals, including drivers, power, memory, scheduling, and security.
• Hands-on embedded Linux BSP development experience.
• Working knowledge of Yocto, OWRT, BitBake, Device Tree, UEFI, and U-Boot.
• Experience with debugging tools including ftrace, perf, gdb, crash, and JTAG.
• Experience with ARM-based SoCs and hardware bring-up.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with mainline Linux development or upstream contributions.
• Exposure to virtualization or containers.
• Experience with security hardening, CVE management, and compliance.
• Prior experience as a Tech Lead, System Lead, or Project Engineer for platform software.
