Senior Logistics Specialist, India

Overview

Senior Logistics Specialist responsible for end-to-end export, import, domestic transportation, warehouse coordination and logistics cost control for Ingredion in India, based in Mumbai.

What you'll do

• Handle end-to-end export shipments from documentation to dispatch.
• Coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, CHA and shipping lines.
• Prepare and validate export documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, BL / AWB, Certificate of Origin and other regulatory documents.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT norms and export incentive schemes.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to global customers.
• Coordinate import shipment clearances with CHA and transporters.
• Ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported materials.
• Work with supply planning and customer service on prioritization.
• Monitor demurrage and detention and drive cost avoidance.
• Manage dispatch planning from the Mannitab plant (Malegaon).
• Coordinate with plant, warehouse and transporters for timely finished goods movement.
• Ensure truck availability and dispatch adherence to plan.
• Support integration of Mannitab logistics into Ingredion processes and systems.
• Plan and execute road transportation for finished goods and raw materials across India.
• Optimize freight cost through route planning and transporter selection.
• Manage transporter relationships and performance on OTIF, cost and reliability.
• Resolve delivery issues, damages and escalations proactively.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including the Bhiwandi hub.
• Ensure timely GRN and system transactions, inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation and FIFO/FEFO adherence.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs such as turnaround time and inventory accuracy.
• Support storage optimization for imported and domestic materials.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of logistics documentation including GRN, e-way bills and invoices.
• Maintain compliance with GST and e-invoicing regulations and transport and safety norms.
• Support audits and maintain proper records.
• Track logistics costs including freight, warehousing and detention.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor KPIs including OTIF, freight cost per ton, transit time adherence and clearance TAT.
• Collaborate with supply planning, customer service, plant and production teams, and finance for billing, payments and cost tracking.
• Act as the single point of contact for logistics execution issues.
• Drive process improvement, digitization, automation and standardization initiatives in logistics and warehousing.
