Senior Manager, Engineering - SQL

Overview

Senior Manager, Engineering (SQL) to lead software engineering delivery for a data-driven platform using Java-based microservices and Snowflake.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute quarterly objectives aligned to business priorities and team capacity.
• Own delivery of engineering roadmaps with high quality, predictability, and timely execution.
• Collaborate with Product, PMO, Data Science, Frontend Engineering, and other stakeholders to prioritize work and drive outcomes.
• Identify and manage technical, delivery, and operational risks.
• Drive engineering excellence across design, coding, testing, code reviews, and operational readiness.
• Provide technical leadership for SQL, Java backend services, microservices architecture, and data platform integrations.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational policies and standards.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong SQL and database design experience.
• Strong backend and data platform development experience.
• Experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience delivering cloud-based applications and services.
