Senior Manager, Finance

Overview

Senior Manager, Finance in the Global Accounting Team, responsible for end-to-end accounting of revenue and general ledger transactions across Finastra subsidiaries. Reports to the Director, Global Accounting Team / Head of Shared Service.

What you'll do

• Review contracts for software sale, post-sale services and implementation, prepare contract summaries, update the revenue recognition checklist, and identify appropriate revenue recognizable.
• Manage end-to-end accounting of revenue and non-revenue areas, including but not limited to FAR, accruals, prepayments, journals and intercompany.
• Ensure timely and smooth closure of month-end cycles and reporting.
• Manage all monthly schedules to an auditable standard.
• Manage and front-end auditors.
• Anticipate possible issues, work on fixing processes and balances, and escalate to management as needed.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual business reports to the leadership team.
• Highlight issues at the first instance and develop solutions with local management and stakeholders.
• Work on projects as needed to clean up balances.
• Work closely with globally located stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating effectively and in a timely manner.
• Act as the go-to person in allocated areas.
• Manage a team of 5-10 accountants, training them and making them independent in process, accounting and stakeholder communication.
• Set high standards to ensure financial reporting integrity.
• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Collections and consolidation of ERP system data as part of the transition outside of accounting.

What you'll need

• Accounting graduate with 12-15 years of experience, or qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years of experience.
• Well versed in accounting, with complete knowledge of general accounting.
• Good knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Good working knowledge of ERP and MS Excel.
• Flexibility to work in US shift timing.
